BBP NETWORK: With the initiative of Anshu Bach and Shivas Creations, Hungry Top Kolkata Super 50 on 13th March, at TurfXL . A team tollywood from the Bengali Film and Television industry will be playing in this. The unique part is that we also have a women's team playing with us which would be headed by PRIYANKA ROY former indian cricket team member.people from different sectors of society, such as education, sports, politics etc will be participating too. Among those who are participating in Kolkata Super 50 are Bonny Sengupta, Joydeep Mukherjee, Anshu, Rajib, Joyee, Shayan Mukherjee,Celebrity photographer Sudipto Chanda, Prantik Chakraborty from Legal Curriculum and many other noted people.
This would be a 50 balls tournament. Generally there are 6 balls in an over in cricket but this case it would be of 5 balls.
Sushil Sir, who is the coach for Bengal Team in CCL is one of the members of kolkata Super 50.
Many known organisations are sponsors of the tournament. Organiser Anshu said, he and the director of Shivas Creations have for the first time arranged a cricket tournamen on this large scale. Though the tournament was supposed to be held at the beginning of the year, it was postponed due to Covid-19 scare. After a long time, we will have some fun while we play. Jerseys of all the teams was launched on 10th of March at UNS cafe. The monetary benefit that will be earned from the tournament will be used for the betterment of underprivileged childre, elderly people and stray animals.
